MOT - Passed, no advisories (82962 miles)

First MOT during my ownership and obviously I was a little apprehensive in case there were any major problem lurking, which on a car like the 535d had the potential to be expensive. As it turned out I had no need to worry as it passed with flying colours despite a very thorough inspection by an experienced MOT inspector.

It was interesting to see the emissions test as these cars are so clean that the testing machine has to be manually triggered to begin sampling the exhaust as it otherwise doesn't believe it and thinks it is sampling fresh air.

The only verbal, informal advisory I was given was that my front brake pads didn't have much meat left on them but as I already had a set of pads and was intending to fit them soon anyway, along with a new set of discs, this was not a problem.
